Proyecto Science Place and Time: The summer 2012 session of Proyecto Science will be held at New Jersey City University (NJCU). The expected dates for the summer session is June 28, 2012 thru August 2, 2012. The program runs from Monday-Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm (*). On select Fridays, Engineering Days will be held at the participating districts. Proyecto Science is also held at East Hanover Middle School from Monday-Thursday, 9am to 4pm. The program is dependent on financial support to run. Please view this website often for any new updates .
Proyecto Science (PS):
is a five to six-week summer program which focuses on advancement in mathematics, sciences, computer science and technology for select middle and high school students. PS offers its participants intensive courses in algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, and probability and statistics; biology, physics, and chemistry, finite mathematics and geometry. The three-summer program begins with 7th graders in PS1 (first year). Successful students that complete PS1 are invited back for PS2 and PS3 in their 8th and 9th grade years in numbers determined by available funding. Proyecto Science Cost and Participants:
Participation in the program is mostly dependent on funding from school districts and other sponsors. Participants in the program are selected by the participating public schools following the eligibility requirements set by PS and the public school districts. All interested applicants must attend an Open House.
