The Residence Life Program at New Jersey City University offers a special opportunity and challenge to the dedicated, highly motivated and opportunity seeking upplerclass resident, by providing an academic floor to meet the educational needs of exceptionally talented individuals fostering the pursuit of scholarly excellence in undergraduate education.
With the provision of a quiet and structured enviornment, the Residence Life Program seeks to promote the development and professional growth of students by engaging them in activities designed to enhance their critical, cognitive, and creative potential, by creating opportunities for individual and group interaction with others of like mind.

Requirements/Critieria
To be considered for this environment, students must::
1. Have a minimum of 24 credits and a 2.5 cummulative grade point average;
2. Demonstrate an interest in student leadership development and community service.
*Academic floor residents are encouraged to participate in a minimum of one community service projects per semeste. A non-resideLife project may be submitted for consideration with proper documentation.
Students with less than a 2.5 GPA but are committed to improving basic study skills and grade point averages may be considered if they are otherwise, in good standing with teh ResLife Program.
