The New Jersey City University Student Govrnment Organization is the link between the administration and student body. We are here to empower student leadership and to serve and guide NJCU students through student involvement and preparation. We want to ensure that students have a voice when decisions that impact us are being made. We are a body of elected student representatives who serve the student body by working to enrich our academic and extracurricular college experience at New Jersey City University. One of our major objectives is to set a strong foundation for those students that come after us to carry and to build on.

To act as the united voice of students, in an effort to advance their interest, as well as to connect students with faculty and staff while vtrying to enhance the college experience:
SGO Goals for 2009-2010:
- Finding a more efficient way of utilizing SGO funds.
- Finding and implementing more effective ways of publicizing and reaching out to the student population.
- Strenghtening student participation through a wide variety of activities.
- Creating a stronger connection between students, faculty, and staff.
