Making Your Voices Heard "
The New Jersey City University Student Govrnment Organization is the link between the administration and student body. We are here to empower student leadership and to serve and guide NJCU students through student involvement and preparation. We want to ensure that students have a voice when decisions that impact us are being made. We are a body of elected student representatives who serve the student body by working to enrich our academic and extracurricular college experience at New Jersey City University. One of our major objectives is to set a strong foundation for those students that come after us to carry and to build on.
SGO Mission is ...
To advocate for, share knowledge with, and serve as a resource to individual students, student groups, and the NJCU student body. The Student Government Organization is to act in the best interest of the student body in the following ways, including, but not limited to:

Serving as liaison between the university administration and the student body.

Promoting student empowerment through effective leadership.

Providing students with the opportunity to have access to activities critical to"the college experience".
SGO Goals for 2007-2008:
- Organize and plan effective service, culture and educational events for the student body, while encouraging clubs and organizations to do the same for recruitment purposes.
- Strengthen the clubs and organizations, while placing emphasis on the clubs and organizations and not the quantity.
- To find more effective ways of publicizing and reaching out to student population.
