The TRiO Learning Community (TLC) Program, a TRiO Student Support Services Program at New Jersey City University, is funded by the United States Department of Education and New Jersey City University. This program is designed to provide support services to low-income, first-generation students and/or students with disabilities.

Student Eligibility
Eligibility for the program is determined by federal regulations and academic need.

A student qualifies under one of the following categories:
1. First-Generation.
2. Low-income, and/or
3. Students with Disabilities.

A first-generation college student means that neither of the student's parents have received a bachelor's degree. Economically disadvantaged students must meet income requirements determined by federal guidelines.
